I think it’s about time I started a little blog about all the facts and tidbits I’ve collected about Ireland for years. I really love famous Irish quotes, facts about interesting places to go there, offbeat stories and other like stuff. I’m not really big on leprechauns and all the typical Hollywood imagery of Ireland – it’s a lot more subte and interesting than that. But the people and the place are also definitely entertaining. I take the viewpoint of an interested observer, being a Yank as I am. But I’ll always feel a connection to the place through my Irish grandparents, from Counties Kerry and Roscommon. Here’s to them!
